WISH – Women’s Integrated Support for Hormonal Health in early breast cancer

mHealth to support follow-up of BC patients

Description

WISH is a project funded under the co-fund partnership THCS – Transforming Health and Care Systems, supported by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme and the funding agencies of Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Spain and Switzerland. Our Lab’s funding body is Fondazione Regionale per la Ricerca Biomedica.

The project brings together a strong multidisciplinary consortium of clinicians, researchers, technologists and innovation experts, united by a shared goal: to rethink how follow-up care is delivered to women with early-stage breast cancer.

Digital tools — including the WISH app — will enable continuous monitoring and timely intervention, while AI-driven analytics support more effective decision-making and better long-term health outcomes, with a particular focus on involving general practitioners.

The project’s ambition is not only to test a new follow-up model, but to redesign care pathways so that they are more accessible, responsive and sustainable.

The consortium is coordinated in collaboration with IRCCS Maugeri (Pavia) and brings together the University of Pavia, Klaipėdos Universitetas, NTNU – Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, IBIMA Plataforma BIONAND, HES-SO Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale, and arx iT.
